Accommodations

Beautiful cherry satin-varnish wood interior is found throughout. The Owner's stateroom features a King berth with a 5" foam mattress and six drawers under the berth. Overhead lockers, port and starboard as well as a cedar-lined hanging locker vanity with mirror provide ample storage.There is a built-in clothes hamper. The molded head unit features a marbleized counter, mirror a household size Vacu-Flush toilet and separate shower stall. A molded vanity and stainless steel sink complete the Head. An Office Area also with a cedar-lined hanging/storage locker is to port.There is cabinetry for a computer and a desk w/drawers as well as a space for SSB radio and other instruments. A large dinette is located in the saloon. There is more storage behind the settees.A water tank and more storage are under the settees. Lockers and bookshelves are outboard. A cherry door provides privacy for the guest room which features a double berth, cedar lined hanging locker w/shelves, a bureau and a 5" foam berth cushion. The guest head features a molded vanity, SS sink and Vacu-Flush toilet. The walk-in shower is shared.



Galley

The Galley is U-shaped design with marbleized counters and plenty of storage cabinets and drawers for dishes and utensils. A remote electronic solenoid propane shutoff valve plus gas detector provide extra safety.

Electrical

The Saga features a custom electrical distribution panel with AC and DC magnetic breakers, AC and DC voltage meters and ammeters as well as a battery test system and hinged panel access. There are (4) exterior footlights and additional foot lights in all cabins. Fans (6) are in the front stateroom, galley, main salon and aft stateroom. A dedicated entry switch turns on overhead lights and footlights.

Electronics

An elevated double helm seat provides for greater forward visibility. There is a storage under the seat and a wet locker with a drawer below. The electronics console is flush mounted.There is a laptop hook up and interface. Steering is via a Ray 650 autopilot.

Mechanical

The Saga is powered by a Westerbeke 82 hp naturally aspirated diesel engine. There is two zone Marine Air reverse cycle AC/heat with multiple control panels. The hydraulic inside steering and custom autopilot are on separate quadrants independent of pedestals. A self-bleeding fuel system with engine mounted electric fuel pumps adds to convenience.There is remote oil filter and electric oil change system. In addition to bronze water strainers there is a Racor secondary fuel filter and water separator. Thru hull valves are 3 bolt flanged Maralon ball valves, 1/4 turned, double clamped and labeled.

Sails & Rigging

The Variable Geometry rig for shorthanded offshore sailing is innovative and practical. The Hailer/autofog horn is mast mounted. The main halyard and reefing lines lead aft to cabin top winches. Cabin top mounted, mid-boom mainsheet traveler system leads to the cockpit. The roller bearing blocks are custom. Sailtrack blocks and cars with lines lead aft to the cockpit. There are (2) Quadruple rope clutches ahead of the cabin top window and the Spinnaker pole is mast mounted.

Hull & Deck

No need to climb up and over seats or transom,there is a walk-out swim/boarding platform at cockpit floor level w/hinged door and swim ladder. SS welded grabrails and jacklines provide safety. There is an anchor & deck washdown system w/hose and nozzle. The large cockpit with high backrests provide comfort.The dual wheel stations each have a radar/chart plotter, wind display, multi display and autopilot control. A custom double leaf cockpit table offers space to entertain; a complete set of custom cockpit cushions provide comfort. Insulated cup holders provide a safe place for drinks.

Additional

When "Priorities" was built, many standard features were upgraded and customized by the Owner. A wine rack, liquor cabinet and custom upholstery were added to the interior. The cabin sole is varnished teak and holly and the quality cherry joinery is satin finished with poly varnish. On deck all blocks were upgraded to roller bearing, a second SS anchor roller with platform was provided on the companionway and dodger helm bimini.
