Description

Based upon the popular Albin 43 Trawler (1979–94) that preceded her by two years in the Albin fleet, the 43 Sundeck features a full-width aft deck (as opposed to the trunk cabin profile of the 43 Trawler) and slightly larger aft cabin dimensions than her sistership. In other respects, the two boats are about the same.

"Belle Luna" is a fine example of this popular Albin model, the 43 Sundeck, she makes a great Caribbean live aboard!

Accommodations

She is a two cabin two head layout.

Forward Is the guest stateroom which features a v-berth with a filler to make a double berth. There are shelves along either side of the hull above the berth, a hanging locker is located aft on the starboard side. There is both drawer and cabinet storage below the berth.

Aft on the port side is a head paneled in white Formica with teak trims. This is followed by a dinette which is open to the salon above and features booth style seating with two bench seats facing each other surrounding a teak dinette table that can lower and convert to a double berth. There are storage cabinets above the table and outboard.

Opposite and to starboard is the L-shaped galley with the black upright refrigerator and freezer inboard and aft, a work surface along the outboard side has double stainless steel sinks set into it on the aft end (with covers) and a top-opening dry storage cabinet is set into the counter top forward. All the way forward and inboard is the stainless steel propane stove and oven. Storage is plentiful with cabinets and drawers below the sinks and stove as well as cabinets above the refrigerator and the stove.

Moving aft, three steps up to the main salon. On the starboard side you find the lower helm station followed by a sliding access door to the exterior. Opposite to port is a corner chart table with drawers below, one of which is large enough for chart storage, followed by another sliding access door to the side deck. There is a built in cabinet in the port aft end of the salon which leaves a lot of flexibility in the layout. Windows on all sides make the salon bright with natural light while the teak paneling and the teak and holly cabin sole add a warm, traditional feel.

Three steps take you down from the salon into the master cabin. It features a queen-sized bed on the centerline with night tables, and two banks of louvered teak cabinets line both sides of the cabin. There is a large double hanging closet most forward on the port side and an ensuite head with separate tub and shower most forward on the starboard side.
