1992 Grand Banks 42 Classic

The Grand Banks 42’ Classic has long been a benchmark for traditional cruising yachts, known for her timeless profile, practical layout, and comfortable accommodations. With two staterooms, two heads, upper and lower helm stations, full walk-around decks, and a full-beam aft master, the 42 Classic remains equally well suited for extended cruising or simply enjoying comfortable time aboard. 

LIZZIE’S owner has maintained and upgraded the boat with an open-checkbook approach and the expectation of long-term use, investing extensively in her systems, equipment, cosmetics, and upkeep. Many of the recent improvements were undertaken with no intention of selling, with equal attention given to her mechanical systems and overall appearance.

CONSTRUCTION, HULL & DECK:

Hull No. 1217 built by American Marine Ltd. at its Singapore facility.  The 42’ Classic is constructed with a hand-laid fiberglass hull using alternating layers of FRP woven roving and mat. The underbody incorporates an integral full-length keel, with internal structure provided by FRP stringers formed around closed-cell foam and bonded to the hull. The keel extends below the propellers and running gear. The deckhouse and flybridge are FRP construction, with teak decking installed over the deck structures.
