How cool are these boats! This is one of two exact one-third replica models of 2000 America's Cup IACC boats. They were used as test models during the design process of the actual America's Cup boats. "Castor & Pollux" are both previously part of the Oracle BMW racing syndicate and are now for sale here in Newport. They are ready to race and in great shape!
"Castor & Pollux" are a pair of exact one-third replica models of 2000 generation International America's Cup Class (IACC) racing yachts. One was the exact replica of "Black Magic", New Zealand's 1995 America's Cup winner and the other was designed by Bruce Nelson. (of Nelson Marek). The two boats are made of carbon fiber with lead bulb keels. Between the two boats, there are three carbon rigs and five suits of sails. The boats are being offered separately for $30k a piece or can be sold as a pair with all the gear. The boats have been drysailed and are sitting on their custom cradles on trailers.
