This YOT 36 Power Catamaran is a new 36 ft outboard power catamaran from Catana Group, the builder behind Catana, Granocean, and Bali catamarans, offered in Florida at a special fixed price of $495,000 USD. This stock YOT 36 runs twin Black Mercury V8 300 hp outboards with Mercury Joystick Piloting, and adds Zipwake interceptors, a Simrad Navigation Pack with twin 12 inch NSX displays, a JL Audio premium sound system and an electric SureShade aft awning. The price includes ocean freight to Florida, import tariff, full PDI and Mercury commissioning.

YOT 36 DECK AND ELECTRIC TERRACES

The YOT 36 is 13 feet 1 inch wide underway, designed to fit a standard slip. At rest, electric fold down terraces on the port and starboard sides open the deck to 17 feet 9 inches, which the builder puts at about 410 square feet of deck area. The helm seats four side by side on forward facing pilot seats with lifting bolsters. The aft cockpit runs on four modular bench seats and two wood tables on electric pedestals, so the YOT 36 cockpit converts between dining, lounging and open deck. Two wet bars, with sink and mixer on the port wet bar. A bow sunpad is reached by side decks. Aft, a fixed swim platform, swim ladder with pop up handles, hot and cold deck shower and three stainless aft gates.

YOT 36 CABINS AND HEADS

Every YOT 36 has two private cabins, one in each hull, and each cabin has its own ensuite head, its own shower and its own companionway down from the cockpit. Buyers comparing the YOT 36 against open center consoles and dual consoles often miss this: the YOT 36 is a weekender with two separate sleeping cabins, not a day boat with a cuddy. Both heads are electric freshwater toilets. This YOT 36 adds a 40 liter water heater and a shore fresh water connection, plus the standard 51 liter refrigerator.

YOT 36 ELECTRONICS AND OPTIONS ON THIS BOAT

The Navigation Pack replaces the standard 7 inch display with twin Simrad NSX 12 inch multifunction displays and adds a Simrad VHF with AIS and a transducer. Zipwake interceptors provide automatic ride and trim control. The JL Audio premium system runs 2 speakers in the bow cockpit, 4 in the aft cockpit and a subwoofer. An electric SureShade awning extends aft from the hardtop to shade the cockpit.

YOT 36 STANDARD EQUIPMENT

Full beam hardtop, low profile sport windshield with twin wipers, LED courtesy lighting, electric windlass with helm remote, 16 kg (35 lb) stainless anchor on 30 m (98 ft) of stainless chain with swivel, six pop up cleats, and a 10 point quick release fender system. Tankage is 1,150 liters fuel (about 304 US gallons), 300 liters fresh water (about 79 US gallons) and a 100 liter holding tank.

The YOT 36 is designed by J&J Design and built by Catana Group at its facility south of Porto, Portugal, in polyester with carbon reinforcement and Vacuum Infusion. CE Category B, rated for 10 passengers.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE $495,000 PRICE

Cargo transport to Florida with shrink wrap and custom transport cradle, US import tariff and admin fees, and a full PDI on arrival: unwrap, restep the light mast, full detail, flush water tanks, Mercury commissioning and warranty start up, systems checks, 7 days dockage and a customer orientation at handover. Antifouling bottom paint is not included and can be added. This is a special offer at a fixed price and the price is firm.

WILL A YOT 36 FIT A STANDARD SLIP

Yes. The YOT 36 beam is 13 feet 1 inch with the terraces folded, and the builder designed it to fit a standard 4 meter (13 foot) berth. The 17 foot 9 inch width only applies at rest with the electric terraces deployed.

CAN YOU OVERNIGHT ON A YOT 36

Yes. The YOT 36 has two private cabins, each with its own head, shower and companionway, a refrigerator, and a water heater on this boat. It is built as a weekender for two couples or a family.

YOT 36 COMPARED TO CHINA BUILT POWER CATAMARANS

Unlike the China built power catamarans it is shopped against, the YOT 36 is built in Portugal by Catana Group, the European builder behind Catana and Bali catamarans, in polyester with carbon reinforcement. The YOT 36 is also narrower where it counts: at 13 feet 1 inch, it fits a standard slip, while the leading China built 36 foot power catamaran runs about 14 feet 7 inches wide, which can mean a larger slip and a higher dockage bill. At the dock or at anchor, the YOT 36 electric terraces open the deck to 17 feet 9 inches, wider than either boat's fixed hull. At the helm, the YOT 36 seats four on forward facing pilot seats, where the China built rival offers a double helm seat. Moving around the YOT 36 is easier too: where that rival relies on a single center walkthrough, the YOT 36 has three connected walkways and two separate routes to the bow, so guests can move fore and aft without squeezing past each other. The YOT 36 also carries 300 liters of fresh water against that competitor's 200 liters, and its 6,300 kg light displacement comes in under the competitor's published 6,600 kg dry weight.

YOT 36 TWIN MERCURY V8 300 PACKAGE

Twin Mercury V8 300s are the standard power package in the YOT 36 price book, and this is the final Florida stock YOT 36 built on them. Future Florida stock boats move to the optional Mercury V10 package. The V8 300 remains a current factory option, so this YOT 36 stays on a fully supported Mercury platform, serviced by Mercury dealers throughout Florida. Mercury Joystick Piloting is standard on the YOT 36 and fitted to this boat.
